Columbia RB Joe Governale wins Jenny’s Old Fashioned Popcorn Player of the Week

The Columbia Raiders are a on a 2 game winning streak with big wins over Oberlin at home and then on the road at Wellington.

A big reason for the success has been an incredible running game spearheaded by Joe Governale. He is following in the footsteps of Brandon Coleman in a big way!

His 288 yards on 44 carries with 2 touchdowns against Wellington was more than enough to earn him this weeks Jenny’s Old Fashioned Popcorn Player of the Week.

Governale and the Raiders will look to stay hot this weekend against Clearview.

Governale earned a whopping 60% of the staff vote.

Zack Wagner earned the fan vote consisting of 30%

A nice showing for Joey Lance this week as well with 10% of the vote.

  1. way to go Joey G. That’s how it’s done. I remember watching an NFL game in High School and a great run. My dad looked at me and said, “that’s how I used to do it”!
