Cole’s Corner: 2023 Five Round NFL Mock Draft

Round 5

  1. Chicago Bears – Byron Young, DT, Alabama
  1. Buffalo Bills – Andrei Iosivas, WR, Princeton
  1. Indianapolis Colts – Rakim Jarrett, WR, Maryland
  1. Denver Broncos – Cam Jones, LB, Indiana
  1. Cleveland Browns – Mohamed Ibrahim, RB, Minnesota

After having one of the deepest running back rooms for a few years, the Browns need help behind Chubb and Ford. Many feel as though the team should select a third down back, but the selection should be best available, especially when Chubb may only have a few more years remaining on this roster. Ibrahim is severely underrated and becomes a major fifth round steal. Chubb, Ford and Ibrahim would be a trio of bruising running backs.

  1. Las Vegas Raiders – Tanner McKee, QB, Stanford
  1. Cleveland Browns – Blake Freeland, OT, BYU

Jedrick Wills Jr. is still needing to prove himself and might need some extra push from behind on the depth chart. Selecting the ultra-athletic Freeland might give him the push needed at left tackle. If Wills goes down, Freeland has enough ability to stand in and hold his own.

  1. New York Jets – Andre Carter II, Edge, Army
  1. Las Vegas Raiders – Jarrett Patterson, OG, Notre Dame
  1. Carolina Panthers – Jerrod Clark, DT, Coastal Carolina
