On May 23, 1999, the wrestling world went into shock as Owen Hart fell over 73 feet from a scaffold at Kemper Arena, to his death. He was supposed to ascend slowly down from the rafters in a super hero like entrance when the harness holding him came loose.

One may never know exactly what happened, but it remains the saddest wrestling moment of all time. In a highly disputed decision, Vince McMahon opted to continue the show.  Words cannot describe the horror of that evening with fans, fellow wrestlers and most importantly Owens family.  He left behind a widow and two young children.
