Cold Pizza: Naming The Very Best In Cleveland Sports Talk

Best Drive Home Show: The Next Level on WKNR ESPN 850AM

Reason: This is a great display of perfect chemistry of hosts. JeRod Cherry is one of the humblest down to earth “Celebs” you’re going to find on the radio. His chemistry with Co-Host Emmett Golden is remarkable.

Cherry never plays the old, “I played in the league, so I know best” card. He gives his reasoning for his opinions and moves on. He never tries to shove it down your throat, time and time again like other afternoon hosts do from time to time.

Emmett Golden is the ideal  example of hard work paying off. This excellent father of two, has proven what hard work can do for your life. Never give up, work hard and chase your dream. Golden has done exactly that.

There is not a show or time slot he hasn’t hosted or been a part of with his 10-year history on the station. He is the staple of hard work, perseverance and entertainment that you would want your own children to model themselves after.

Matt Fontana is more of the same. He never acts bigger then he is, and also isn’t afraid to poke fun at himself. It was painful at times listening to RBS when he was on it, because he took such a beating all the time.

I would listen and just feel bad for him. I knew the “kid” had it, and it was only a matter of time before he could show it. He has now earned that chance, and he is showing his true talent.

If they ever change the name of “The Next Level” they should call it “The Perfect Fit”. These three truly are the perfect fit and it shows daily. I sure do hope I don’t “grind anyone’s gears” with this selection.
