Coming into that PPV in Cleveland, Punk was seemingly doing just fine as World Champion, Sadly for him, WWE creative saw it differently and took the title off of him without even allowing him to wrestle a match that night. For reasons never explained, they had Randy Orton’s group “Legacy” beat him up backstage and he was forced to relinquish his belt. The curse began….
