Gedeon Promotions returned to the historic LaSalle Theater for War on the Shore XXIII, Seasons Beatings, on Saturday, December 6, for a night packed with action and excitement. The night began with 10 amateur bouts that left the crowd eager for more, and then concluded with three professional matchups.
Promoter Bryan Gedeon mentioned how important developing local talent is to him, saying, “If there wasn’t a consistent stage for them [the boxers] to fight on and grow from the amateur ranks to the professional ranks, they would either remain career amateurs, or they would have stagnate professional careers.”
The War on the Shore events mean a lot for the local community of Cleveland as well, with Bryan saying, “The shows are always sold out, it’s a great venue, I match everyone up evenly, or as even as possible, based on the stats on paper, and the fighters really love it.” Bryan discussed how he typically has a set fan base for his events, but with a larger venue, he believes the boxing community and fan base would expand. Bryan also mentioned, “I have a full-time job, three kids, and a wife, so I’m very content with what I have created for our local boxing community.”
The sport of boxing is rapidly growing in popularity, and Bryan attributes this to Jake Paul and Turki Alalshikh, saying, “they have brought boxing back to the mainstream, and made the fights happen that fans want to see. This, in turn, has brought more attention to people wanting to try boxing or even come to a local boxing event.”
Saturday night started exciting when the amateurs stepped into the ring, with four title fights and four technical knockouts.

Professional Highlights
- Ben Meese (Middleweight) secured a TKO victory at 2:58 in the third round after dropping his opponent, Joe Thompson, three times before being waved off by the referee.
- Christian Juresic (Light Heavyweight) claimed a TKO win over Brock Willis after the fight was waved off at 2:30 in the third round.
- Brok Weaver (Super Middleweight) improved to 2-1 after picking up a unanimous decision win against Nick Rezek.
When asked about who fans should keep an eye on in the future, Bryan said, “Local professionals to keep an eye on in the near future are undefeated cruiserweight Jordan Gruszewski (4-0), lightweight Khalil Osaze (3-0), and you always have to keep an eye on the 400-pound knockout machine, Dajuan Calloway. As far as amateurs go, I see a lot of potential in 132 lb. boxer Eduardo Rico Montes and 154 lb. boxer Davion Porter. These guys are both novice division (under ten fights), but Davion is undefeated, and Eduardo just stopped a guy in the first round that outweighed him by ten pounds and had fifteen fights.”
Bryan also added, “The shows are all possible because of my wife, Allegra. Without her, there would be no shows. She is the one who literally interacts with every person that comes through the door, and she gives me all the support in the world. She also believes in me more than I believe in myself.”
Before wrapping up, Bryan made sure to thank his team, saying, “If I could, I have to give many thanks to my right-hand man, Mike Peck, and also Jordan Gruszewski, Nick Rezek, and Kristen Meadows Whited. They all play a huge role that allows me to continue to have these shows.”
War on the Shore will return to the historic LaSalle Theater on Saturday, February 21, 2026, and will be an amateur-only show. Gedeon Promotions held five pro/am fights this past year, and strictly amateur events allow for more amateurs on the card, meaning more opportunities for boxers to fight.
