Euclid Stadium- After taking care of Garfield Heights last week, Cleveland Heights came to Euclid to show why they are dominating this season.
Cleveland Heights received the opening kick and proceeded to storm down the field with the offense. Senior Darreon Fair had a nice run for the first down with 10:00 minutes left in the first quarter, but Euclid was able to stop them and force a punt.
On Euclid’s first drive, junior Amaru Rand burst through the hole for a 25 yard gain. The drive stalled out and a couple plays later Euclid punted.
Cleveland Heights began gaining confidence after Jeremiah Dillard caught a big pass reception for a first down and they capped off the drive with an Owen Bisker 23-yard TD run. The Tigers never looked back after getting the first lead of the night.
Both teams started to pick up the play and were going back and forth until Jalen White of Heights fumbled the football and Euclid’s Robert Cochran recovered. On the ensuing play, Euclid fumbled and Cleveland Heights jumped on the ball.
Heights marched down the field to set up a quarterback keeper for Darreon Fair. The touchdown made it 12- 0 in favor of Cleveland Heights.
Euclid began to wake up after quarterback Deonte Rucker threw a touchdown pass to Rich Buchannon (12-7 Tigers).
Cleveland Heights bounced right back with an Owen Bisker 8-yard touchdown. Tigers lead 19-7.
With 3:35 in the second quarter, Fair broke off a 49-yard TD run giving Heights a big lead heading to halftime.
Euclid turned the ball over shortly after the break, leading to another Fair score.
At the end of the third quarter, the Tigers had a 39-7 lead. They would go on to score one more time and also concede a touchdown to Euclid.
With the 46-14 win, Cleveland Heights moves to 3-0 on the season.
Euclid drops to 0-3.
