Cleveland Crunch Prepare for Special 2025-2026 Season

The Cleveland Crunch are set to kick off another season in the MLIS next month as they visit East Lansing on December 6th and then Fort Wayne on December 20th before returning home for their home opener on January 10th as they host the Chicago Mustangs.

The Cleveland Crunch franchise has been a staple of indoor soccer in the Great Lake City since the early 90’s as was the Cleveland Force before them.  Big things are expected from this year’s squad including a new venue, a new media affiliate to broadcast their games and friendly tickets prices that make it fun for the whole family.

I attended Cleveland Crunch media night where I had the chance to speak with Co-Owner and director of sales, Ryan Ruiz.  He touched on just how special it is for the Crunch to make the Wolstein Center their home once again after hosting last years postseason there as well.  Ruiz had this to share, “It’s so big, all the guys are super excited.  We knew from a front office standpoint that if we had our fans show up last year for the playoffs and we put on a good show, we knew we’d be able to land the Wolstein Center for the 2026 season.  It is so special because this is where the Cleveland Crunch won their original championship with the original franchise.  To be able to bring that back and have it centralized downtown is a big deal for us. “

One of the great things about the Crunch is that the whole family can attend a game for a reasonable price.  We’re living in a day and age where every penny counts and the Crunch ownership realizes that.  A family of four can attend for a very reasonable price, and quite frankly, that is almost next to impossible these days but the Crunch will make it happen! Ruiz, a family man himself, touched on that as well, “It is special that we can offer that and we’re grateful to the North Olmsted Soccerplex before this as they helped set the tone for the fanbase as we were able to pack a lot of fans in it.  We’d played the last five seasons home games there and established low ticket prices for our fanbase.  We’re excited to offer this for them again. “

Ruiz mentioned that a promotional schedule will be out soon, but you can find the full schedule here for both home and away games.

Finally, while all games will be streamed via the MLIS, home games in particular will be shown live on ROCK TV.  Ruiz touched on that as well, “We had an opportunity with ROCK Entertainment Sports Group and after multiple meetings, we found a way to make it happen based on the specs of our new venue.  It took time but ROCK is very supportive of what we’re doing and it was a great fit to offer our product on a different platform, which is huge.  The more eyes you have on your product and a wining product like we have, that is half of the battle right there.  WKYC will be streaming as well. “

Make sure to come on out to opening night to see first hand, just how special this team truly is!
