We are officially under one month to go until Training Camp 2024, which once again starts off in Greenbriar, West Virginia. Before heading back to the home complex in Berea. With that being said, let’s dive into some key position battles starting with the linebackers.
It is no doubt in mind, that the group will be led by Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah who is entering his fourth season with the Cleveland Browns. This comes after an impressive 2023 season from Koramoah leading the team in tackles at 101. He also led all linebackers with 3.5 sacks.
This is a very promising sign for Browns fans after losing their next two leading linebackers in Sione Takitaki and Anthony Walker Jr.
Enter Jordan Hicks and Devin Bush. Hicks comes from the Vikings and is entering his 10th season in the league. He is also coming off his 5th straight season of 100+ total tackles. While Bush comes from the Steelers and is entering his sixth season in the league.
Hicks is a pretty safe option to be the starting linebacker, with Koramoah being the right side. The Bush addition is the interesting piece here. He comes off of a career-low year, but Kevin Stefanski loves his former first round picks to try and revive them. So it will be very interesting to watch the growth throughout camp.
Then you have depth guys competing for spots like Mohamoud Diabate, rookie Nathaniel Watson, and Tony Fields II who enters his fourth season with the Browns.
This will be one of the more interesting groups to look at throughout training camp as the Browns hope to keep the linebacker position valuable.
