Amid all the trade talks revolving around Browns running back Duke Johnson, he’s now on the market to find a new agent. Ian Rapoport tweeted out earlier this morning that the 25-year-old has moved on from agent Kristin Campbell of 40 Sports & Entertainment Group.
Johnson has made public that he would rather find a new team after the Browns signed troubled running back Kareem Hunt earlier in the offseason. This all comes about as he skipped the voluntary portion of the offseason program before reporting for a couple of days of mandatory minicamp back in June.
Now without any representation, Johnson is looking for the right person who can command his wish, to be traded to a team that can be the right fit to showcase his talents. After all, after reporting for mandatory minicamp last month, he reiterated that he feels like the Browns were disloyal when they made him available in a trade earlier in the year.
“I only want to be somewhere I’m wanted,” Johnson said. “If you don’t want me here, there’s no need to keep me or force me to be here.”
After signing a three-year, $15.6 million extension during the 2018 offseason, Johnson recorded worst statistical season in his four-year career. He went on to catch just 47 passes for 429 yards and three touchdowns while rushing 40 times for 201 yards on the ground.
