- Terrance Mitchell holding down starting spot?
Heading into the offseason, the 27-year-old was presumed the starting cornerback opposite Denzel Ward in the secondary. Recently, rookie Greedy Williams has been taking some first-team reps during training camp and showed out during his first preseason game last week while recording two tackles and an interception.
For Mitchell, he needs to pick up right where he left off a week ago. He finished the night with a tackle and a forced fumble. Earlier in the week, Mitchell was involved in a chippy practice Thursday afternoon and had some words for wide receiver Krishawn Hogan. He needs to keep the energy high and keep making plays in the secondary during the action in game two to solidify his starting spot.
