It’s certainly not crazy to think this after last week’s 3-for-3 performance against Tampa Bay. That carried over into the preseason finale, as he made two field goals along with two extra points.
He certainly appears to be in the driver’s seat as he ended the preseason connecting on all five of his field-goal attempts in the final two games. Going back to game two, he’s made his last eight field goals, leaving a lasting impression on the coaching staff for sure. We should know more about this situation Saturday afternoon when the roster gets trimmed to 53 players.
