2. Baker Mayfield must show signs of improvement
Baker Mayfield would like to wash away last week’s performance against the 49ers as it turned out to be the worst start of his brief NFL career. Completing just eight passes for 100 yards, two interceptions and zero touchdowns, it’s best if we just move forward from here.
The Seahawks don’t have a stout defense like the 49ers do, so Baker should have plenty more time to throw in the pocket. Coming into this game with the 26th-ranked pass defense, Mayfield should be able to work around for a major bounce-back game.
While practicing in full to end the week, wide receiver Rashard Higgins looks like he will suit up and be ready to go today, bringing the extra element Mayfield and the Browns offense have been missing since week one. Add that on to a depleted Seattle secondary, look for the Browns offense to come alive during the right time.
