- Control the running game
Seattle enters week six with the fourth-most rushing attempts in the league. The run-oriented offense can beat you on the ground or through the air, but the Browns must limit the big plays in this one. Chris Carson, a player who has evaded 32 tackles this season– good for top 10 in the league, must be felt by the Browns defensive front as early as possible Sunday afternoon.
For the season, the Browns give up one of the league’s highest rushing yards per game with 150. After getting embarrassed on Monday Night Football this past week, the Cleveland rushing attack must make a statement early on and feed off of the energy within FirstEnergy Stadium.
Myles Garrett knows that the run has to be contained early on before it really hurts the team.
“I want to get back to rushing the passer, so that means we have to stop the run,” Garrett said Friday to reporters. “We have to snuff it out before it grows into something that they view as something that’s able to hurt us.
