Chris Jericho & CM Punk Go Over Big at AEW Double or Nothing

Chris Jericho is a God Damn Genius!

If you thought the Stadium Stampede was amazing, and it was, then this version of it called, “Anarchy in the Arena’ is a pretty good replacement.  This was 10 guys beating the holy Hell out of each other in a bloodbath all over the arena.

From the T-Shirt section, to the crowd, to a freight elevator, it was one giant pop after another as the 10 men put everything on the line to entertain the crowd.  The blood loss was massive, and so was the fun had by the crowd. Jim Ross and Tony mocking former WCW events, and the masked man made it even better.

It did sound like they were talking out of sound bites and being heavily produced at times however, but this match was so much fun that the cheezy and canned commentary didn’t effect it too much.  Eddie Kingston may have come up with the name to this one, but it had the hand prints of Jericho all over it.

They used everything from Barbed Wire and Tables, to Fire extinguishers, as they tore apart the ring.  At one point, it was the four former WWE guys going at it in the ring with Hager & Jericho squaring off with Moxley and Danielson.

It got to the point where Edie Kingston tried to light Jericho on fire before Danielson turned on his teammate to stop him.

Also, the only thing I couldn’t figure out is why, if Tony Khan told Schiavone to mention that this was the largest crowd in AEW History, why would he push so hard for fans to call their friends and tell them to watch as well?  Wouldn’t they be already?

In the end, it was Hager helping Jericho choke out Bryan Danielson with a belt to win the match.  So again, your winners, Jericho, Hager and those three other guys no one ever talks about.
