Cavaliers Lose Their Last Preseason Game

The Cleveland Cavaliers lost to the Chicago Bulls 139-137 in overtime yesterday. The starters played more minutes than the other games, which is nice to see before the season starts. The starting five also put up 99 points, leaving the rest of the bench to score 38. Defense was a non-factor, allowing the Bulls to make seven more shots than the Cavs.

Jarrett Allen stayed hot posting 25 points and 16 rebounds. Darius Garland is returning to his ‘DG the PG’ form as well. Garland finished the game with 23 points and five assists. Evan Mobley almost finished with a triple double. He had 15 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, and three blocks.

Despite putting up 137 points, the offense shot 46-106, or 43.4% from the field. If the team wants to make another run for the trophy, shooting percentages will need to increase. Not to worry, there is still plenty of time to change that. The bad part about this is the fact that Cleveland did not win a single game during the preseason. Headed into the regular season, it would have been nice to cap off the preseason with a win.

This season will be another fun one, so buckle up! Regular season starts October 22nd. Unfortunately, the Cavs are not starting that day. Their first game is the following day in Toronto against the Raptors.
