Monday (Sept. 22)

Tuesday (Sept. 23)
Ball State women’s golf opened day one of the Red Raider Invitational in Lubbock, Texas, with a team score of 18 over (594). This put them in fifth place as senior Sabrina Langerak led the Cardinals with an even-par round for her first 18 holes and was just two over in her second round.
Wednesday (Sept. 24)
Ball State women’s golf finished the Red Raider Invitational with a tie for seventh place. Langerak and sophomore Sophie Korthuijs tied for 28th at 12 over (228).
Thursday (Sept. 25)
Ball State soccer (4-4-2, 1-2-1 MAC) fell to Buffalo 2-1 on the road. Senior Delanaey Caldwell scored the Cardinals’ lone goal in the second half, but the Red and White never found enough momentum to strike again.
Ball State women’s volleyball (5-8, 1-0 MAC) opened MAC play with a 3-0 sweep over Buffalo. Sophomore outside hitter Carson Tyler led the Cardinals with 18 kills.

Friday (Sept. 26)
Ball State women’s volleyball (6-8, 2-0 MAC) defeated Akron on the road for the Cardinals’ second conference victory. Junior middle hitter Gwen Crull tied her career-high 12 kills mark as she led the Cardinals past the Zips.
Ball State field hockey (3-7, 1-1 MAC) fell to Central Michigan 2-1. Though freshman Jade Vandevoorde scored the first point of the match, the Cardinals could not hold on or find the goal again.
Ball State men’s golf was represented by four individuals at The Indy event at Forrest Hills. Sophomore Gavin Hare shot the best finish of his collegiate career with a three-under (67) finish. This led him to a tie for second place in a field of 40 golfers.

Saturday (Sept. 27)
Ball State baseball defeated Butler 13-9 as the Cardinals hosted the Bulldogs at Shebek Stadium for a fall scrimmage. Junior outfielder Gavin Balius led the Red and White as he was 4-for-6 with two RBIs, three runs scored and he recorded a walk.

Sunday (Sept. 28)

Ball State field hockey (3-8, 1-2 MAC) fell to Kent State 1-0 in overtime.
Ball State women’s tennis earned hardware as sophomores Sarah Shabaz and Isabel Tanjuatco were the doubles champions of the 49th annual Milwaukee Tennis Classic. En route to defeating Lipscomb for the title, the two also topped doubles players from Miami (OH), South Florida and Wisconsin.
