Here are the results for Ball State Athletics from the week of Monday, Oct. 6, to Sunday, Oct. 12.
Monday (Oct. 6)
Ball State women’s golf competed in the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational. Freshman Skylar Dean led the Cardinals over the first two rounds, finishing +10 (152) over 36 holes. The Cardinals also had players at Delaware Country Club as the program hosted the Golfweek Put Me In Coach Invitational. Junior JJ Gregston led the Red and White at +2 (146) after the first two rounds.
Tuesday (Oct. 7)
Ball State women’s golf was led by junior Jenna Estravillo at the Golfweek Put Me In Coach Invitational as she finished tied for seventh place at +9 (225). At the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational, Gallagher led Ball State as she was the Cardinals’ best finisher, coming in at 37th with a score of +16 (229)
Ball State men’s golf competed in the Golfweek Put Me In Coach Invitational at Delaware Country Club. The Cardinals were led by sophomore Aidan Gutierrez, who finished in fifth place.
Ball State women’s volleyball (9-8, 5-0 MAC) defeated Miami 3-0 on the road. Sophomore libero Sophie Ledbetter and freshman setter Reese Axness each had 18 digs in the win. Sophomore outside hitter Carson Tyler had a double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs.
Wednesday (Oct. 8)
No events.
Thursday (Oct. 9)
Ball State soccer (6-5-2, 3-3-1 MAC) knocked off Eastern Michigan 1-0 on the road. Freshman Jordyn Klaasen scored the lone and winning goal in the 51st minute of the contest. It was her first collegiate goal of her career.

Friday (Oct. 10)
Ball State women’s volleyball (10-8, 6-0 MAC) topped Toledo 3-2. In the win, Tyler and sophomore opposite hitter Tiffany Snook both had career-high kills with 29 and 17, respectively.
Ball State field hockey (3-11, 1-4 MAC) fell to Ohio 1-0. The Cardinals had five shots on the goal in the loss.

Saturday (Oct. 11)
Ball State football (2-4, 1-1 MAC) traveled to Western Michigan and fell to the Broncos 42-0. The Cardinals only recorded 88 yards of offense in the game.
Ball State women’s volleyball (11-8, 7-0) remained undefeated as the Red and White defeated 3-1. Tyler led the Cardinals with 17 kills.

Ball State women’s swim and dive kicked off its season at the Don Ron Indiana Collegiates. The Cardinals finished the event in first place after totalling 584.5 points in the event.
Ball State men’s swim and dive started the 2025-26 season in the Don Ron Indiana Collegiates. The team took third place after recording 396.5 points.
Sunday (Oct. 12)
Ball State soccer (7-5-2, 4-3-1 MAC) defeated Akron 3-0 for the team’s second-straight conference win. Senior Emily Roper, junior Kaelyn Valleau and redshirt sophomore Annika Klauss all scored in the victory.
Ball State women’s tennis ended the fall season at Cleveland State’s Viking Invite. The Cardinals picked up 10 singles wins over the three-day event.
