Below is a message on the event page with full details of exactly what is going on and the heartbreaking story that Mark’s son Collin who lost his mom in 2020 at age 9, now stands to possibly lose his father, making this even more serious and heartbreaking.

Hey everyone,

I’m reaching out today with something that’s weighing heavy on all of us who know the Daniel family. Our family friend Mark Daniel has just been quickly & unexpectedly diagnosed esophageal cancer that’s spread to his liver, making it stage 4. Mark is just 43, with a beautiful wife Jess, and his son Collin is only 14. Some of you might remember Collin’s mom, Erin Kramer—her story touched so many people around here.

She fought hard against breast cancer but passed away in 2020, when Collin was just 9, leaving behind him and his newborn brother. Now, he’s facing the unthinkable possibility of losing his dad too. This diagnosis is treatable—but it’s going to take a lot of resources, strength, and love to get through it.

That’s why Reilly’s, Mangia Bella, and Sauced Pizza & Catering are teaming up for a fundraiser to help the Daniel family through this fight. All you have to do is come by, grab your favorite food, and know that a percentage of every sale will go straight to Mark and his family. There’ll also be a spot for anyone who wants to leave a private donation—100% of that goes directly to them.
Here’s how you can help:

* Saturday, August 2nd: Join us at Reilly’s and Mangia Bella during regular business hours, and Sauced will be parked with their food truck from 12 PM to 4 PM.

* Eat, shop, and share—they’ll get a piece of every sale.

We’ve all seen how strong and supportive our community can be. Every time hard times struck, you’ve shown up in ways that remind us why this place is special. Please, let’s rally for Mark, Collin, Jess and their family. No one should have to face this kind of heartbreak alone.

Thank you for any support you can give—whether it’s a meal, a donation, or just spreading the word. Sending love to all of you who are fighting your own battles, too. It’s not fair, but together we can make it a little bit easier.
