BW Women’s Lacrosse Wins Final Regular Season Game Against the Polar Bears

ADA, Ohio—The Baldwin Wallace University women’s lacrosse team won their last regular season game against Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Ohio Northern University by a final score of 14-8 inside Dial-Roberson Stadium.

BW Leaders (6-10, 4-4 OAC)

  • Sophomore All-OAC midfielder Deanna Loukas (Tuckahoe, N.Y./Eastchester) scored a team high 5 goals and added 1 assist
  • Junior midfielder Kaitlyn Hradek (Olmstead Township/Olmstead Falls) added 3 goals
  • Senior midfielder Sid Chamberlin (Wooster) also scored 3 goals and a team high 5 assists
  • Senior All-OAC goalkeeper Ashleigh Hildreth (North Tonawanda, N.Y./Sweet Home) led with nine saves.

Ohio Northern Leaders (7-9, 3-5 OAC)

  • Avary Snyder led with two goals and an assist
  • Amanda Wells and Elizabeth Graham scored two goals each.
  • Chloe Millican led with nine saves

1st Quarter (BW 3-1)

  • 10:44 Loukas kicks off the scoring action with her first goal of the game, assisted by Chamberlin (BW 1-0)
  • 9:19 Hradek scores her first goal of the game off a free position shot, assisted by Loukas (BW 2-0)
  • 4:16 Wells scores the first goal for the Polar Bears (BW 2-1)
  • 1:32 Chamberlin scores her first goal of the game off a pass from sophomore defender/attacker Avri DeBevoise (Avon Lake) (BW 3-1)

2nd Quarter (Tied 5-5)

  • 13:41 Meredith Miller scores her first goal of the game and quarter off a Keaghan Burden pass (BW 3-2)
  • 13:13 Snyder scores her first goal of the game to tie up the score (3-3)
  • 12:14 Loukas and Chamberlin connect again for Loukas’ second goal of the game (BW 4-3)
  • 10:41 Wells ties the game up with her second goal (4-4)
  • 10:04 Loukas scores her third goal of the game, assisted by sophomore attacker Tara Martin (Brunswick) (BW 5-4)

  • 2:23 Loukas and Chamberlin once again connect for Loukas’ fifth goal of the game (BW 12-8)
  • 1:41 Chamberlin tacks on her third goal of the game (BW 13-8)
  • 1:15 Freshman midfielder Taylor Miklos (Brunswick) adds her first goal of the game (BW 14-8)

The Yellow Jackets return to play on Saturday, April 30 as they compete in the OAC Tournament Quarterfinal game. BW will be the No. 5 seed and take on Otterbein University in the Memorial Stadium.
