Buzbee responds to new claim of unfounded allegations against Watson

Yesterday, Josina Anderson reported that one of the twelve woman that were interviewed during the Deshaun Watson punishment hearing was lying, according to the womans’s on.

She went on to provide evidence of her potential lies which seem to further prove her dishonesty. On surface level, this certainly seems to harm the case of all women involved in the lawsuits and casts doubt of the validity of their claims. However, Tony Buzbee has come out to the defense of his clients today.

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Focus, Buzbee, who represents most of the woman that are suing Watson civilly, has said that the woman in question was never his client. He said that “‘It has been reported that twelve alleged victims spoke to the NFL, I have confirmed that ten of those women were my clients. None of my clients had a son questioned by the NFL.

As I’ve said, there were several women who called my office wanting to sue Watson that I decided, based on my trial experience, not to represent. I know that at least one of those women, who I declined to represent, spoke to the NFL and also gave a statement to the police. I can only assume it was that woman who is the subject of the leak tweeted about by Ms. Anderson'”.

Buzbee response damages the growing narrative that Watson’s accusers are all liars and just looking for money greatly. The woman whom Josina Anderson provided evidence of lies and malice for was never brought on board for the lawsuits. Buzbee found her untrustworthy and not helpful to the case in the original screening process.

She was vetted out and not accepted due to the same reasons that Josina was posting about. She is a dishonest woman who was looking for a payday, and she is unrepresentative of the actual victim of Deshaun Watson. This is a devastating blow Watson’s camp who desperately need positive momentum to avoid a lengthy suspension that seems all but certain at this point.
