The Brush Arcs began their 2021 Season with a dominant win over 41-20 win over Lakeside this past weekend. A big reason for the teams ability to rush the ball, with over 300 yards on the ground, was the incredible play of the O-Line and Tight Ends. However, someone has to run through those holes and that young mans name is Tanelle Rose who did it in brilliant fashion.
He has incredible vision and speed both, a dynamic young runner who is only a sophomore. It is almost downright scary to think about how good he is going to get. Rose finished with 234 yards and 5 touchdowns on 39 carries in the blowout victory.
The Arcs will look to stay on the winning track this Friday night as they travel to take on Bowsher High School from Toledo.
I spoke with Head Coach of the Arcs, Mr. Edmund Hall who had this to say about young Tanelle, “Rose has always been a RB through the youth system so he has a special vision that can only come from tons of reps.
He is also 185 pounds at 6 feet tall and fast so that helps. Rose is still young (sophomore ) so he is like a little brother on the team. He works hard every day and listens when the captains talk. Also, you don’t see the #1 back getting in on scout team often but he just loves to play.
Coach Hall went on to say, “we need to keep developing as a team. Our OL is lead by Maliek Williams and TE Antwone Woolfolk who had an amazing game blocking! They absolutely dominated and Tanelle read their blocks well. I anticipate him have a big season especially when he gets our other RB back in the backfield with him.
I’m a O line guy so any time you can run the ball as a team for 300+ yards I’m having a good day! He has a special way of taking a play that looks like it won’t hit, and finding 6 yards from nowhere.
Congrats to this weeks winner Tanelle Rose!
