Brotherhood: The Legacy & Tradition Of High School Football

Legacy, tradition, brotherhood!  Three words that sum up my own personal love of High School Football.  From the time you exit your car and hear that first Marching Drum beat play, until the time you go to bed that same night, your heart is racing and that momentum is pumping through your veins.  There are few better feelings then being underneath those bright lights on a Friday Night as the community watches.

This year has been different, much different, the community is no longer there in droves.  Only one band is in the stands, and sometimes you only hear them at halftime, and people are forced to wear masks so those roars aren’t quite the same.  However, the one thing that never changes is, “LEGACY, TRADITION, BROTHERHOOD”.  I don’t care if there is 1 person in the stands, or 10,000.  It doesn’t change!

Perhaps the greatest gift a parent can get is watching multiple sons play at once in the same program, let alone at the same time.

We dove deep this week as I reached out to several families in which I have covered their sons coming up through the same program, as well as several this year playing at the same time. It’s a pretty cool feeling and I hope everyone can enjoy hearing their stories.
