BREAKING NEWS: North Olmsted Soccer & Football Make Decision On Resuming Play

Last Friday the North Olmsted Superintendent Dr. Zalar announced a hold on all sports and extra curricular activities at the school. After a wild weekend, all of that has now changed (again) and student athletes can return to practice.

Football and Soccer will return to phase one as they are contact sports.  However, please realize their season is still in very serious jeopardy if the Ohio Board of Health does not remove their recommendation for mandatory Covid 19 testing once the season begins. Rest assured, if the mandate is not lifted, there will be no soccer or football anywhere in Ohio this fall.

That being said, all non contact sports can resume with Phase three activities.  This effects Golf, Tennis, Volleyball and Cross Country.

On page two is the full statement from Athletic Director Mike Ptacek sent to North Olmsted families just moments ago.

  1. If you read the letter you see volleyball is not moving forward in that city, they are considered contact with football and soccer.
