Big Ten Championship Recap: Just Give Trey the Ball

1st Half

Ohio State drove down the field on the opening drive but settled for a Bake Haubeil 41-yard field goal. (3-0)

Northwestern immediately bounced back and scored with no resistance. Cam Porter struck gold with a 9-yard TD run capping off the seven play, 75-yard drive. (3-7)

Following several punts, the Wildcats were next to score. Charlie Kuhbander hit a 47-yard field goal in the second quarter putting the Wildcats up by seven. (3-10)

Ohio State traded field goals with the Wildcats on a Haubeil 43-yarder. (6-10)

The Buckeyes had a chance to take the lead at the end of the first half. Fields was looking for his favorite target Garrett Wilson in the back corner of the end zone, but freshman standout Brandon Joseph came down with an incredible one-handed grab. The interception closed out the half, keeping the Wildcats ahead.
