Bay takes care of Cloverleaf at home.

The beginning of November means the beginning of the High School Football playoffs across Ohio!

Tonight the 6-4 Bay Rockets hosted the 5-5 Cloverleaf Colts. Surprisingly, it actually started off as a game before getting out of hand in the second half.

The Rockets started off the game quickly with a 49-yard touchdown drive capped off by running back Rocco Ereditario. As this was just the beginning of a long night from the run game.

Cloverleaf would then respond with a 60-yard touchdown drive of their own to tie this game at 7 with a little over 1 minute left in the 3rd.

It was an interesting night for the Colts offense as they struggled to find an identity.

Running Back Nathan Gray led the way with 25 carries for 116 yards. As he could never truly get going averaging just 4.6 yards per carry.

On top of that, the Colts also operated with two QB’s, one of which also played RB and WR, and they couldn’t decide which one to go to more down the stretch.

But despite all of this, the Colts put together a last minute 60-yard touchdown drive with 22 seconds left in the half to tie the game back up at 14.

And that would pretty much be it for Cloverleaf. As Bay would come out in the 2nd half to score 27 unanswered points. Resulting with 4 touchdowns.

It was quite the show from the pair of star running backs combining for 198 yards on the night.

Charlie Rogers racked up 20 carries for 117 yards.  While Ereditario finished with 13 carries for 81 yards, along with finding the endzone four separate times.

Bay’s running back as en entire unit finished with 267 yards on the night thanks to a 56-yard fourth quarter run from Colin McLea.

The Rockets passed the ball just 4 times on the night for 3 yards on 1 completion, and still managed to dismantle the Colts, 41-14.

Bay moves on in the playoffs and once again gets a home game next Friday night.

Tonight’s player of the game would have to be Rocco Ereditario who had 4 of Bay’s 5 touchdowns on the night, along with 13 carries for 81 yards.
