Baron Cup 2025: Olmsted Falls Defeats Strongsville In Last Second Thriller

In the game between Olmsted Falls V.S. Strongsville, Olmsted falls came out with the first shot of the game but no goal. Both teams played a very physical game with both teams having the puck about the same amount in the first few minutes of the game although Strongsville still had more shots than Olmsted Falls.

Strongsville was playing very good defense in the first not letting Olmsted Falls get too many opportunities on goal while trying to create their own opportunities with two close shots in the first period. Both teams had man up opportunities but both not able to capitalize in the first period ending in 0-0. In the second period Olmsted Falls got more opportunities on net early but they were saved by Strongsville’s goalie number 30 Cole Clark.

With both teams still playing very aggressive by landing solid hits on each other throughout the period. Both goalie’s having phenomenal games not letting in goals for the majority of the period. Olmsted Falls scored the first goal of the game by number 3 Peyton Kasberg getting the team the 1-0 lead over Strongsville. Olmsted Falls’ goalie Dominic Fusco had a phenomenal game keeping the score to 1-0 at the end of the second.

The third period started off strong for both teams until Strongsville’s number 7 Eric Dubsky scored Strongsville’s first goal of the game, tying it at 1-1. During a man down play for Olmsted Falls their number 25 Eli Thome was able to get them a goal to make the score 2-1.

Later in the third Olmsted Falls was 2 men down but was able to hold off Strongsville’s offence to keep the score 2-1 with Olmsted Falls’ goalie making crucial saves to keep Strongsville’s from tying the game.

The game then ended with the score being 2-1 with Olmsted Falls taking home the win.
