Baldwin Wallace University Sweeps Muskingum University At The Net

Match = Muskingum at Baldwin Wallace.

Result Baldwin Wallace 3 sets to 0

This was BW’s second match of the day as they were part of the French Invitational.  They defeated Adrian in the earlier match, 3-1.

Here are the full results of their second match of the day.

Set 1

Both Baldwin Wallace and Muskingum started off strong, making it tied early in the set. The powerfulness of the set was noticeable, with both teams displaying their skills and determination.

#20 from Muskingum Katharine Clayton’s defensive skills were a standout, as she consistently battled through Baldwin Wallace’s aggressive plays.

Since this was a tough match for both teams, it remained a close set until Baldwin Wallace acquired a lead by #3 Brinn MacLellan strategic plays and #21 Sam Rueda powerful spikes. Another standout player is #26 Josie Lynn for Baldwin Wallace in set one as she dominated and defended the net making it hard for Muskingum to come back in time to win.

Baldwin Wallace University won set one against Muskingum University with a 25-21 score.

 

Set 2

In set two, Muskingum struggled to keep up with Baldwin Wallace’s quick and aggressive offensive and defensive plays making it hard to come back. In the beginning of the set, both teams were tied right away, but Baldwin Wallace were fearless and swift to get a dominant lead.

#21 Sam Rueda, #26 Josie Lynn, and #8 Sydney Simonson for Baldwin Wallace were notable players for set two as they were all quick and reactive in their defensive and offensive plays.

Even though Muskingum was combating with quick plays, Baldwin Wallace was on top with a 25-11 score in set two.

 

Set 3

Set three was no different than set two as Muskingum struggled to maintain a lead against Baldwin Wallace. Like in set two, the score was close giving both teams hope to win, but Baldwin Wallace’s reactive plays gave them the win.

#26 Josie Lynn, #3 Brinn MacLellan, #6 Katarina Blazetic, #8 Sydney Simonson, and #21 Sam Rueda for Baldwin Wallace were all notable players in set three as they all were powerful and reactive players taking the win over the Fighting Muskies.

Baldwin Wallace showed no mercy towards the Fighting Muskies as they won set three with a 25-18 score.

 

Baldwin Wallace University’s head coach Kate Latkovic said about the team’s overall performance, “They played great as a team. Everyone did their part, and it made it easy to win when everyone is doing their job.” She went onto say, “The key factors into the win were being aggressive as attackers and we served really tough.”
