by There were many fine performances in Week 9 of Ohio High School Football but perhaps none finer then the one by Avon QB Blake Elder. In a game against their crosstown rivals, the Avon Lake Shoremen, Elder led the Eagles to a 43-12 victory. In the big win, Elder went 14/15 passing for 338 yards with 5 touchdowns. Avon will look to finish the regular season 9-1 as they travel to Elyria next Friday night to take on the 0-9 Pioneers.
