Not a lot has gone right for the Avon Lake Shoregals this season but the fact remains they have talent and in moments, they can really show it.
I wanted to point something out tonight from their game with Strongsville. Despite the loss, they had 10 players reach the scoresheet. Do you know how rare that is?
Bondar 9pts
Summerfield 5pts
Polinko 2pts
Kuwalu 1pt
Hicov 2pts
Wilson 4pts
Borland 6pts
McNally 4pts
Homolka 2pts
Springer 6pts
Not only that, but they rallied for 19 points in the fourth quarter to cut the lead to single digits.
Something is just a heartbeat away from this team being dynamite. I’m telling you, I see it. Maybe 1 adjustment, maybe 2, but the talent is there despite the final score once again.
I will be personally seeing the Shoregals once again this weekend as they host Amherst. Quite frankly, I couldn’t care less about the records. Both teams are hungry, both teams have talent and both teams are just a heartbeat away from turning the corner. Their first game was an overtime classic.
Grab your popcorn folks and I will be seeing you Saturday.
Tonight’s game shows what they are capable of these girls played so hard to get back in it . I agree that one heartbeat is a new coach . To much talent for 3 wins . We keep losing and girls may think about going to mags and joes . You don’t want to lose these kids in your own backyard !
