Avon Eagles Defeat Berea-Midpark Lady Titans 36-28

The Berea Midpark Titans played host to the Avon Eagles in a SWC matchup Saturday Morning. It was a defensive battle in the opening quarter with both teams holding the other to under 10 points. Talyssa Moody had two threes for the Titans, but the Eagles held a 7-6 lead after one.

The Eagles went on a scoring surge in the second quarter while they played excellent defense. They had a 21-13 lead going into halftime. The leading scorers at the half were Talyssa Moody with 6 and Grace Mangan for the Eagles with 6 as well. The Titans put some offense together in the third and got the game back within two, but the Eagles bounced back and regained a 32-25 lead going into the fourth quarter.

The Eagles held that comfortably lead throughout the fourth quarter and ended up winning by a score of 36-28. The leading scorers for the Titans were Talyssa Moody with 12 and Lauren Yee with 8. The leading scorers for the Eagles were Molly Drenik with 11 and Brooke Laub with 7.
