Another Long Season?

One of the worst teams in the NFL beat the Browns yesterday to move to 1-2 on the season. The Giants not only outplayed the Browns, but also out-coached them as well. The defense gave up 340 total yards, with 228 of those being through the air. With Myles Garrett having an MRI later today, we hope the news is something to brighten the rest of the week.

The offense was practically non existent outside of our first drive. The game was looking pretty good within the first five minutes of action, and then went straight downhill. Deshaun had some mishaps, the O-line couldn’t stop a puppy from leaving its cage, and there were multiple drops.

The positive of this is next week comes the Raiders, who are also 1-2. Another positive is Deshaun throwing for 196 yards and two touchdowns, even if he was sacked eight times. The last positive, because there aren’t a lot of them, is Amari Cooper found his rhythm again, catching both of Deshaun’s touchdowns along with 86 receiving yards. Now, for the negatives, and there are a lot.

The defense looked awful. Injuries on both offense and defense didn’t help, but letting Daniel Jones pick apart your defense wasn’t what fans wanted to see. The cornerbacks couldn’t do their job, and that was to contain Malik Nabers. He went on to have eight catches for 78 yards and two touchdowns. The defensive backs need to get something in order soon, or the Browns are in for another long season.
