by One of the coolest things I get to do as a sports reporter is learn about the families, the programs, the schools and the great stories that make up a community. Such is the case with Amherst over the past 5 years. From the amazing senior class of girls basketball players that reached the District Championship game in 2020, to the talented football squad led by Tyler Brezina the following fall with the Weatherspoon brothers, just to name a few.
Also great, has been covering the girls basketball team the last 4 years as promising freshman’s Kristen Kelley and Kayla Ferancy are set to become two of the best players in the conference this coming season as Seniors! Not to mention, our sixth player of the year from last season, the dynamic Ava Darmos. That team is loaded!
One of the biggest things we do at Kee On Sports is keep it 100% free for parents and fans to enjoy our content. We don’t charge for written content or live game streaming on YouTube. One of the reasons we are able to do this is because of our large sponsorship base from local communities in each school in the conferences we cover.
Coming into 2023, we fully intend on covering Amherst football once again, complete with their new head coach, Coach Thome, who we feel will do an amazing job! With that being said, it will once be again be 100% free to follow along. I love you Mr. McKee, but this Amherst girls team has to get through falls first before we talk about talent . 17-27 last 2 years and 6-20 in conference. I got them finishing 5th! I hope your right. It would be great for that group of girls to go out on top!
