Now more then ever, the focus on High School Sports will reach its greatest peak as we are less than five weeks away from opening night of High School Football.
That being said, KEE On Sports Media Group will be doing something unheard of, further showing our commitment to giving the fans what they want as we have named our very own Alexa Schwerha as a key member of our play by play team.
Schwerha has been a driving force behind the success of KEE On Sports Media Group. She is an editor and a visionary to the plan and overall success of the company.
Her articles include such greats as “Running For Redemption, From Small Town Roads to the Jesse O, and her interview with OSU commit Trey Pancake”, just to name a few. She is also the Mahoning Valley Scrappers beat reporter.
Alexa has been a Godsend to KEE On Sports Media Group and we haven’t begun to see just how bright this star is going to shine. We live in a world with not nearly enough female play by play broadcasters.
In the Cleveland market, there is roughly zero. Not to mention day time and night time sports talk shows hosts in town, which again, have zero.
Schwerha is on a mission to change all of that as her talent cannot and will not be denied. Much the same way Doris Burke and Hannah Storm both did it, hard work, determination and humble backgrounds will help Schwerha continue to breakdown barriers and move mountains!
A standout in High School both on the field and in the classroom, Schwerha is a role model for young women everywhere. She graduated from Beaver Local in 2018 towards the very top of her class and is currently attending Kent St. where she is on pace to graduate in 2022 with a degree in Communication Studies.
We sat down with Alexa and discussed what her impact on the play by play scene will be this upcoming season, along with what schools she plans on covering. Also, a little bit of insight at what makes her tick and why she is so grateful for the incredible fan support she continues to receive.
