AFC Power Rankings
- New York Jets
Predicted record: 4-12
Le’Veon Bell is a great addition to the Jets offense but there is one problem… he hasn’t played in over a year. Bell will still be a workhorse in the backfield but the fact is that the Jets offensive line is not as good as the Steelers front.
Also without many star receivers for Sam Darnold to target, opposing teams will load the box to shut down the run game. Darnold will likely feel the pressure to make plays happen and expect to see plenty of interceptions.
I like what the Jets have done on defense by bringing in CJ Mosley to lead the linebackers and by drafting big Quinnen Williams out of Alabama.
Those additions combined with returning players like Leonard Williams and Jamal Adams make the Jets defense look tough on paper. As we continue to see the NFL become more of an offensive minded league though with high scoring matchups, this defense might not be able to save this offense. Jets will be drafting in the top 10 again.
