AEW WRESTLEDREAM Hits and Misses

The Hits

Christian Cage beats Darby Allin in a 2 Out of 3 Falls Match to retain the TNT Title after Nick Wayne turns on Darby.

This is very smart, keep Christian on top of the card, and more chances for him to develop his cultlike leadership.  The moment was taken away by Edge, but before that occurred, this was a great way to keep Christian over.

Sammy Guevara, Konosuke Takeshita, & Will Ospreay beat Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, & Kota Ibushi.

Keep Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho and even Adam Hangman Page losing just a little longer, because it will make their eventual rise up and victories of team Callis even sweater when it occurs.  You need to build drama, and build doubt, this is a great way to do it.

Bryan Danielson beats Zack Sabre Jr

A smart move to keep Danielson looking strong.  He shouldn’t lose again this calendar year unless he gives Ricky Starks his receipt.

Ricky Starks beats Wheeler Yuta

Great move, after numerous losses to Danielson, it’s time to star getting Ricky Starks some wins.  A win over a BCC member at that!

Swerve Strickland beats Hangman Page

The singles losing streak of Page and Omega both continue tonight, but at that same time, Swerve badly needed this win, perhaps the biggest of his career!

MJF beats The Righteous in a Handicap Match to retain the ROH Tag Team Titles

MJF continues to make his case for the top man in the company!  This could also build future heat when Cole comes back from injury as MJF did it without him.  That won’t go unnoticed.

Keith Lee, Satoshi Kojima, Athena, & Billie Starkz defeated Shane Taylor, Lee Moriarty, Mercedes Martinez, & Diamante

Hey, Keith Lee still wrestles?!  Cool! Great to see him out there.
