AEW Hits A Homerun With Loaded Episode of Dynamite

Jay White debuts to help Juice Robinson attack Ricky Starks

Grade – A

Reason for Grade – This got fans immediately invested into the show and lit up social media which led to more clicks for AEW and viewers tuning in the rest of the night.  Also, while I’m not 100% sold on this version of the Bullet Club, AEW has always done a tremendous job with factions, and this storyline has a ton of potential.  “Who will join next” becomes the next hot topic and will create a lot of buzz around the angle.

Keith Lee interrupts Chis Jericho complaining about Adam Cole Celebrating too much after defeating Daniel Garcia last week.

Grade – B

Reason for Grade – It was cool seeing one former NXT World Champion come to defend another one.  Keith Lee challenged Jericho to a match next week in Milwaukee.  I do hope this is more than a one off as these two could have great in ring chemistry.

This seems like a strange feud for Chris Jericho to be in with Keith Lee, however it has been a proven formula in AEW to allow Chris Jericho to help get new or young talent over. Although with his full gray beard and head of hair, I’m not so sure I should be saying, “young” when it comes to Keith Lee.

The House of Black Defeat The Best Friends to retain the AEW Trios Titles

Grade – A

Reason for Grade – The integration of the “Trios Division” in AEW was a great decision as it has continued to produce some of the best matches on the card.  It can take a guy like Chuck Taylor who looks like he should be driving uber, and makes him relevant where the singles division never could.

This match was fantastic as The House of Black are really starting to find their stride.  Buddy Murphy is now doing some of the best work of his career and finally living up to his potential.  AEW would be wise to leave the straps on these guys for quite some time and continue to let them take off.
