AEW Dynamite vs NXT 2.0: Who Won The Week?

AEW Recap

This card was LOADED!  As NXT 2.0 continues to find it’s legs, this 2 year anniversary episode of AEW Dynamite may have been one of the best they’ve ever had.  Let’s get to some of them that stood out the most and scored big on the night.

The Opener & The Promo

The Elite defeated Jurassic Express, Christian Cage and Bryan Danielson.  It was a great opening match and what Dynamite has become known for.  Opening matches to every card instead of promos.

Speaking of promo’s however, CM Punk came out and fed off the energy from the red-hot Philly crowd. Punk really seemed to be relishing this Golden Age of his career.

The Debut

Bobby Fish?  Are you kidding me?  This is INCREDIBLE!  With so much focus on the debuts of Malacki Black, Adam Cole, CM Punk and Bryan Danielson, I believe a name like Fish got lost in the shuffle. It’s only a matter of time before him and Cole hook up in some way, I cannot imagine AEW ignoring their past Undisputed ERA connection.

The Return

My prediction a long time ago was that Hangman Adam Page would eventually return in and challenge Kenny Omega one more time, for the AEW Championship.  It appears that prediction is finally coming true as he returned tonight to win The Casino Ladder Match for a shot at Omega.  This one has been a slow burn, but I can already tell you, that match has the potential for match of the year.

The Women & The Announcement

Serena Deeb defeated Hikaru Shida, preventing her from what many fans felt would be a sure thing for her 50th win in AEW.  Deeb is on a tear, and it seems as though AEW has soured, just a tad on Shida these days for whatever reason.

Speaking of the women, an announcement was made tonight that when Dynamite moves over to TBS they will have a TBS Championship Belt.  This means that a tournament will take place and become the secondary women’s championship for the company.

So, who won the week?  Dynamite or NXT 2.0?
