Random thought – Who goes thrill seeking on a first date?
They decide to jump out of a plane on the first date from 50,000 feet in the air. Jenn vocalizes to the camera she hates heights and is very scared. It seems like the perfect set up for Army Ranger Marcus however as he sees this moment to take full control and keep her calm. If anything, this entire situation plays into his hand perfectly. It all works into his favor as Jenn says kissing Marcus, “just feels right”.
Random thought – Why does everyone have a sob story?
You just knew it was coming at dinner, it always does. Can we get through one dinner without tears and a sob story? Marcus talks about getting injured in a fire fight during his time in the military. As awful as this is, and as much as I respect anyone who serves our country, I just wish we could get through one solo date without a sob story. Just once, I’d like for someone to be 100% un mentally scarred. Again, God Bless him for serving our country, but we knew this was coming, it ALWAYS does. And yeah, OF COURSE he gets a rose after all that!
The Second Date Arrives in the Jungle
Random thought – Well Dizzerie Freaking Do, bring on Outback Jack, Crocodile Dundee and count me out!
Hakeem didn’t seem to be feeling this one but hung in there the best could as the animal parade began with a Koala but then quickly switches to some nasty looking spider. I don’t blame him; I’d be back on the bus until this one was over. He did it because he thought it would earn him one on one time. Then they break out the giant snake. No woman in the world is worth that!
Making his day even worse, Hakeem doesn’t even get the one-on-one date later in the day, it goes to Dylan instead. Dylan then plays his cards perfectly as he lets her know that he plans on treating his wife sweet every single day with little gestures and signs of love just like his parents have always done for each other. All of this earns him the rose!
