By now, you are fully aware of the debacle caused by Zach this past Monday night on The Bachelor. At first glance it may seem like he had the best of intentions, and just came up empty, but at the end of the day, hindsight is always 20/20. When you truly dissect his actions from this past week, a week he self-entitled, “sex week”, it is pretty easy to see how it all blew up in his face.
It’s quite clear going into this week that he wanted to be with Kaity when it was all over and the producers knew this, so as always, the favorite to win goes last. Zach intended to do the righteous thing by saying he would abstain from sex all week, in order to keep the playing level fair, and that way no one could get their feelings hurt. What happened, was anything but.
Again, before I lay out the plan he had for each woman, it is vital to understand that he already knew he was picking Kaity in the end and just needed to tip toe through two dates with Ariel and Gabi to get there, he didn’t.
His plan for Ariel was to simply have one last fun time with her, and see if anything sparked last second between the two. It didn’t to the point where he caved and slept with her, thus, making it much easier to send her home. Quite frankly, while many fans may not admit it, I almost feel like she was relieved not to be picked.
His plan for Gabi was to get through the date, have fun and abstain from sex. She got some alcohol in him, they were having a good time, and things happened. For all we know, she walked in the room completely naked, and he caved. He is only human.
But this is where he began to really screw things up. He knew damn well that he was picking Kaity at the end of this week, and that because he made such a big deal about no sex, he now looked like an ass. He should have never said a word, and just went on the date with Kaity. By making such a huge deal about it, he knew he was stuck. If she asked, fine, then tell her, if not, face the music when the show airs and hope that your relationship is strong enough to survive it.
He didn’t care about Ariel, this was crystal clear because he never made an effort to tell her about Gabi. Instead of going to Gabi’s room, he could have easily went to Ariels and let her know, giving her the option to leave early if she was upset. He didn’t because he didn’t care if she ever found out, he knew she was going home.
At this point, I feel the worst for Gabi. She gets made to feel like the outcast, when she did nothing wrong. Kaity is going to win, Gabi is going to come off looking terrible after all of this, and Charity gets to be the next Bachelorette. Not the best outcome for Gabi, and she has every right to be pissed!
So, if your Zach, why the heck would you even bring Gabi home to meet your parents? I don’t think he does actually and sends Gabi home to start the show next week. If he brings Gabi home to meet his parents, knowing damn well he is not picking her, it is just going to make matters worse for all 3 people left in this mess. He needs to spend the remaining time on the show, proving to Kaity he loves her, and only her. If not, he has zero chance of a happy future with Kaity.
Finally, if you’re Gabi, how do you ever trust this guy again?
