It was announced today via People Magazine that the hit ABC TV Franchise has named its first ever Golden Bachelorette.  The role will once again go to someone the fans are familiar with and a crowd favorite as it will be Season One of The Golden Bachelor contestant Joan Vassos.

Vassos, a 61-year-old grandmother and school administrator from Rockland, Maryland, and was a favorite to win the show until leaving it during week 3, to go home and be with her daughter who just had a baby.

There is no word yet, if Gerry Turner will be one of the contestants, but knowing this show, it wouldn’t shock us.
