A Clear Sign John Cena Will Drop The Belt Before Mid-Summer

The WWE has released the appearance dates of John Cena’s final summer with the company and it has become clear John Cena’s days as champion are numbered.  The heel turned has been a giant flop and now it appears he won’t even be with the company the entire month of July and not scheduled to return until August.  With him not scheduled to be on the July SNME or August’s SummerSlam, it’s almost guaranteed he will won’t be champion much longer.  Having him off the SummerSlam card, pretty much tells everyone everything they need to know at this point.

When you look at these dates, the only question is, do they have him drop the title at MITB or do they wait for the Smackdown after?  Whatever the case may be, by the time you are sitting in the park on Fourth of July watching Fireworks, John Cena will no longer be holding gold.

Here are the dates he will be appearing with the WWE this summer.

  • May 24: WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event (Tampa, FL)
  • May 30: WWE SmackDown (Knoxville, TN)
  • June 7: WWE Money in the Bank (Los Angeles, CA)
  • June 9: WWE Raw (Phoenix, AZ)
  • June 13: WWE SmackDown (Lexington, KY)
  • June 20: WWE SmackDown (Grand Rapids, MI)
  • August 8: WWE SmackDown (Montreal, QC, Canada)
  • August 15: WWE SmackDown (Dublin, Ireland)
  • August 29: WWE SmackDown (Lyon, France)
