The Cleveland Cavaliers overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to earn a thrilling overtime win 127-125 over the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves. Anthony Edward had 47 points but missed a layup with only 4 seconds left in regulation that could have won the game for Minnesota. Edwards was then held to just 5 in overtime, three of which came at the buzzer when the game was already decided.
While Edwards scored, 47, the rest of the Wolves couldn’t muster up while 5 of them scored in double digits, none of them could reach the 15-point margin. It was McDaniels and Shannon Jr with 14 each while Beringer had 12 and Lonzo Ball chipped in with 11. Juminga finished the double digit scoring with 10 points.

This included James Harden with 19 while Evan Mobley had 118 and Peyton Watson with 15. Jarrett Allen had 10 points while also pulling down 9 boards. The Cavaliers were in led in rebounding by Mobley with 10.
Speaking of Mobley, he showed again tonight when he gets a double double, the Wine and Gold tend to come away with the win. The secret weapon for the Cavaliers tonight was Jaylon Tyson coming off the bench with 11 big points. Not only the were the points crucial, but the plus minus when Tyson was on the court tonight was a whopping 15 on the positive side. That cannot be overlooked.
The Cavaliers were led in bench scoring by Meleek Thomas with 16. Thomas will be counted on to give the Cavaliers a spark of the bench without Max Strus this season who was traded to the Clippers.
The Cavaliers have a tough road to hoe this week with Washington coming to town on Wednesday before traveling to Atlanta on Thursday. The cap the week off with a Saturday night special at Milwaukee. The real grinder is next week however as they have a home and away with OKC before they host Philly and then the defending World Champion New York Knicks.
