by I had the incredible pleasure of taking my 13 and 9 year-old daughters to Slick City Parma on Sunday. From the moment we walked in, we could feel the energy from not only the other patrons but also the staff working. It was sure fire value and fun as we loved every moment. It is clean, affordable family fun with a ton of variety that will suit every member of the family.
Slick City located at 8303 Day Drive in Parma is exactly what the West Side of Cleveland needed. It is like nothing this area has ever seen before and combines family fun with adventure for all ages. There may be a focus on kids, but I saw plenty of adults getting in on the action as well.
I can list 20 reasons off the top of my head as to why this is the new “Premier Place” to have your next get together, but in the interest of time for the thousands of readers, I will limit it to the ,“Top Five Reasons to Visit Slick City in Parma. “

Reason One = Variety of slides
Each slide is uniquely different than the last which offers a ton of variety. Some curvy with breakaway speed while others are steep, sharp and to the point for an intense drop. They are also extremely colorful ranging from Green and Blue, to Yellow and Pink. It is just a cool look quite frankly; it pops the second you walk in and look.
Reason Two = Safety
When you think about lightening fast giant slides, the next thought is typically, “are they safe?”. I can tell you with 100% certainty that they are. The close to three hours we were there, no one even came remotely close to getting as much as a scratch on them. I didn’t see a single set of tears and with the way the slides are built, I’m pretty sure that it is physically impossible to get hurt. They are extremely safe and a friendly staff member walks you though exactly how to use the slides when you enter the park. Honestly, I never had to fear for safety for a single second, this is where safety and fun go hand in hand.
Reason Three = Convenience for parents
Simply put, there are a ton of places for parents to sit and relax while the kids go have fun. In fact, the spots for parents to sit our so close to the action, you can have your child in plain view almost anywhere they go. Places include comfortable lounge seats, even some with massage function, to chairs right in the heart of the food court area. You could bring a magazine, your phone or even bring your laptop to knock out some “paperwork” if you need too as there are plenty of spots to sit.
Reason Four – The food is actually good!
Unlike other fun centers in town where the food is almost impossible to choke down, the food at Slick City is incredible! I had a slice of pizza, a soda and nacho’s and not only was it delish, it was affordable. I ate that at 2pm and it was so filling, I didn’t have to eat again the rest of the day.
The cheese pizza melted in my mouth, the soda was ice cold and the nacho’s were fresh with some of the best nacho cheese I have ever had. They even come with jalapeno’s if you want them. From soft pretzels to hot dogs, they have everyone covered!
Reason Five – Plan your next birthday party or work get together at Slick City!
They have a massive area upstairs, overlooking the action zone that can sit well over 100 people comfortably. I counted nearly 20 tables set up and ready to go for any gathering. The view is awesome and comfortable in which you can stay up top while you eat and still have an eye on the action.
I will stop at five reasons and let the photo’s do the talking for me. This was just an amazing time at an amazing value for a working father like myself, who values every extra minute he can spend with his kids. I give Slick City in Parma 5 out of 5 stars. Enjoy the photo gallery below!
