by North Olmsted, Ohio – July 9, 2026 – Pin collectors, Disney enthusiasts, and families are invited to Great Northern Mall as the mall hosts its first-ever Pin Trading Disney Event on Friday, July 17 and Saturday, July 18 from 11am to 8pm each day.
The free two-day event will feature over 50 pin vendors and exhibitors located throughout the mall, offering thousands of collectible pins available for purchase and trade. Whether guests are longtime collectors or discovering the hobby for the first time, the event offers a unique opportunity to explore an incredible variety of Disney-inspired collectible pins.
For event hosts Richard and Julie Summers, returning to North Olmsted makes the weekend especially meaningful.
“Home is where the heart is, and we’re excited to bring this event back to our old neighborhood,” said Julie Summers. “We moved to Florida years ago, we both grew up in Northeast Ohio. Richard worked at Sears at Great Northern Mall, and I worked at PetSmart in Great Northern Plaza, so coming back feels like coming home.”
Known throughout the pin trading community as “The Figment Guy” and “The Figment Guy’s Wife,” Richard and Julie have hosted successful pin trading events across the country.
“We’re excited and proud to bring this free pin trading event to the mall we love,” said Richard Summers. “We’re often asked to host events in other cities, but we specifically chose Great Northern Mall because Northeast Ohio will always be home to us.”
