STRONGSVILLE, OH – The Mustangs took care of business on Senior Day, maintaining control throughout the entire game, securing a 13-8 win over the Shoregals.

The Mustangs came out with good energy early, getting on the board first and setting the tone. By the end of the first quarter, they held a 4-2 lead, showing early control on both ends. The offense was moving well and finding openings, while the defense did enough to keep the Shoregals from building any momentum.

In the second quarter, Strongsville kept that same pace. They added three more goals to extend their lead to 7-3 heading into halftime. Many different players were contributing to their first-half success. Their balanced work made it hard for the Shoregals to defend.

Coming out of halftime, the Shoregals tried to make it a game, but things did not go as planned. They managed to put up only one goal in the quarter. The Mustangs defense was on point the entire quarter. Strongsville, on the other hand, was able to keep its scoring up, scoring three goals in the quarter. The score was 10-4 heading into the fourth.

By the fourth quarter, everyone knew what the outcome was going to be. The Shoregals did have their best quarter, finding the net four times, but Strongsville stayed composed and didn’t let things get out of hand. The Mustangs added to their total as well, closing things out with a 13-8 final.

Strongsville’s offense was amazing throughout the game, with many contributors stepping up. #12 Sophie Adanistsch played a big role in the attack, scoring four times and having an assist. She was everywhere on the field, making her today’s player of the game. #55 Ava Toohey played amazing, finding the net twice and dishing out two assists. #72 Maya Parrott played great, also scoring four times.

The Shoregals had good moments throughout the game, but they just couldn’t get the job done. #22 Kendall Holley had an amazing game, scoring twice and dishing out three assists, doing everything she could to try to get her team the win. #1 Ava Ceo and #6 Frankie Luca made big contributions throughout the game, scoring two goals a piece.

Overall, it was a great performance from the Strongsville Mustangs. Getting the job done on Senior Day always means a lot, and they did just that. They stayed consistent throughout the game, did not panic when the Shoregals had small runs, and kept control from start to finish.

With this win, Strongsville now turns its attention to its next matchup against the Jackson Polar Bears on Tuesday, April 28, looking to carry this momentum forward.
