Fan appreciation can be brutal at times, none of the starters play and it is almost always a meaningless throw away game. This one was no different as neither team played their starters or played defense, it turned into a three point shootout as Cleveland took 43 and Washington launched 41. In the end, the Cavaliers won 130-117.
As mentioned, it was a three ball fest for Cleveland as they went 18 of 43 with led to erratic scoring at times but fun for the fans who more than likely there more so for the cheap tickets any free stuff being launched into the crowd all game. A positive note to come out of this game was Jaylon Tyson getting some minutes and making them count with 18 points.
It has not yet been decided how much Tyson will factor into their postseason rotation, but he has shown he an compete and do well when given the reps. As for Max Strus, he is another guy on the postseason bubble. He finished with 10 points in 19 minutes.
The playoffs begin next Saturday as Cleveland will host Toronto.
