TNA Rebellion 2026 in Cleveland at the Wolstein Center.
It was a great night with very little to complain about or even second guess, there was a bit of that however and we will get to it shortly, but for the most part, a stellar night! TNA did very well in their return to Cleveland for the first time since 2013.
Before we touch on the in ring action, here is a brief recap of what occurred outside of the ring as well. The pre-show was your pretty standard hype of getting everyone ready for the show. Daria looked amazing and is adapting pretty well to the whole Evil GM role. The segment with Ace Steel was pretty awful however as we all know wrestling is scripted and he was standing there trying to break it down like a legit expert. This is the game guy who got fired from AEW for biting Kenny Omega, so kind of hard to take him serious.
All in all however, not bad at all and it flew by. Having a competitive match between Ryan Nemeth ( who went over wearing Pittsburgh Steeler Trunks) versus BDE in the middle of it was a smart idea. Also, there was a brief promo by Eric Young who, for some reason, is very upset about EC3 coming back to TNA decided to share his feelings on it. All in all, not bad at all on the preview show.
Let’s get to the in ring action .
Match Results and reactions below
TNA X Division Champ Leon Slater vs. Cedric Alexander
Result – Slater retains by pin at 14:20
Reaction – Incredible match to start the main show and Slater took a beating at times, but just kept coming and popped the crowd several times. Alexander did well but having this match first, assured everyone right away that it wouldn’t be a clean sweep for The System. Despite that, Leon Slater reminded everyone again why he may be the best pound for pound wrestler in TNA.
Frankie Kazarian vs. Elijah
Result – Kazarian by pin at 12:25
Reaction – From guitar shots to leather straps, both men endured a lot and took a beating. This was a fun one by the right guy one. Elijah is the same comedy act he was in WWE, while Kaz can be taken as a serious title contender next for Santana to defend against. The only thing that didn’t make sense was the ending coming on a rollup after landing a low blow for Kaz. Seemed a bit weak considered everything else that had just gone down.
Nic Nemeth (with Bernie Kosar) vs. A. J. Francis
Result – Nemeth by pin in 16 minutes even
Reaction – This was played out well with Nemeth getting help from his boyhood Cleveland hero Bernie Kosar for the win. Nemeth, even at 45, can still go!
TNA International Champion Trey Miguel (c) vs. Mustafa Ali
Result – Ali wins the belt at 12:40
Reaction – As expected, this was the second best match of the night behind the Slater vs Alexander tilt. Man of man has Ali blossomed in TNA as a heel. If the WWE used him like this, they could have really had something as Ali is doing the best work of his career right now. I feel bad for Miguel who appeared to badly injure his knee on the concrete outside after a flip. Ali can be a top heel in TNA for a very long time is continued to be used properly. His look is awesome right now!
The Elegance Brand vs. Mickie James, ODB, and Taryn Terrell
Result – Elegance Brand by pinfall in 11 minutes even
Reaction – This was fun to watch with plenty of Hijinx involved. Anytime you can watch a first ballot Hall of Famer like Mickie James perform is a good night! The correct team won too as ODB and James are both part timers and it wouldn’t shock me if this is the last we hear of the very short return of Taryn Terrell. My favorite part was the Dum Dum suckers getting whipped into the crowd and Tommy Dreamer announcing ODB as the next TNA Hall of Famer.
Moose (with Alisha Edwards) vs. Special Agent 0
Result – Special Agent 0 by pin in 11 minutes even
Reaction – This was the only match I predicted wrong as I went 9 out of 10 with my picks. Anyway, this was the battle of the big men and it had a lot of good double moves with both men hitting them at the same time. The only odd thing was Moose screaming, “screw you” several times. Alisha Edwards caused Moose to lose with a fake ankle injury, but we all knew it would set up her heel turn later in the evening, so this planted a needed seed.
TNA Knockouts Champ Arianna Grace (c) (with Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo) vs. Léi Yǐng Lee (with Xia Brookside)
Result – Grace retains by pin at 8:50
Reaction – Sadly, there was a reason this was the shortest match of the main card, it wasn’t good. Crazy enough, it went from bad to solid pretty quickly however when Xia Brookside turned on Lei Ying out of nowhere. I mean, no one saw that coming but the turn helped jumpstart the match that badly needed something to happen. Not sure why the turn, but it worked! This was also the match that many fans got up and left for the bathroom and concessions to get ready for the three big matches still to come.
TNA Tag Champions The Hardys (Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy) (c) vs. The System (Bear Bronson and Brian Myers)
Result – The System wins the Tag Championships in 10:25
Reaction – It was the only tag title switch of the night and it makes a ton of sense. The Hardy Boyz were beat up badly heading into this one and that is why they had such a brutal tables match only a few days prior. If they stick around TNA is too be determined, but this was the perfect exit as they will be in Las Vegas next weekend.
TNA World Champion Mike Santana (c) vs. Eddie Edwards
Result – Santana retains by pin in 19:25
Reaction – This main event went from being great to just okay because for some reason, TNA had to TNA yet again. It was far too overbooked with the entire System getting involved, Moose and the turn from Alisha Edwards which we all saw coming a mile away. It doesn’t take away from Santana who looked fantastic, but, it cheapened the win and watered it down having so many people get involved.
