Grapplers from all over are returning to the Meta Apex to compete in the bowl on Thursday, March 12 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The sixth UFC BJJ showdown will feature two title fights in the light heavyweight and women’s bantamweight divisions. New faces will compete in the bowl on Thursday alongside veteran UFC BJJ competitors. All grappling matches will be streaming live and free on the UFC BJJ YouTube channel.
The main event features Mason Fowler, who is putting his light heavyweight championship belt on the line. Fowler started martial arts late, beginning after he graduated from high school, but he showed great talent early on in his career. Mason placed first at the CBJJ Brazilian Nationals in 2022 and at the ADCC East and West Coast Trials in 2021 and 2019. He is known for his aggressive and relentless grappling style characterized by unpredictable techniques. Fowler is hoping to keep his belt when he faces off against Pedro Machado in the 205lb weight class.
Pedro Machado is a born and raised Brazilian known for his sharp techniques, relentless drive, and calm presence on the mat. Pedro began jiujitsu early, as his father was also a black belt in the sport. He has a handful of notable achievements, including first place at the CBJJ Sul Brasileiro in 2025 and second place in the IBJJF Pan Championships in 2023. Machado is hungry to get his hand raised on Thursday and is hoping to dominate in the bowl to take away Fowler’s belt.
The co-main event will feature the inaugural UFC BJJ Women’s Bantamweight title match. Ffion Davies will make her UFC BJJ debut on Thursday and hopes to take home her first belt against Cassia Moura. Davies took first place at ADCC in 2022 and second place in 2019. She also took first in the IBJJF World Championship NOGI in 2018, 2021, and 2023. Davies has an aggressive grappling style, and she is hoping to secure the victory and earn the inaugural women’s bantamweight belt.
Cassia Moura is a 4-0 veteran of UFC BJJ and is eager to have the chance to take home a belt. Moura got into the sport early on, being influenced by her brother, and is known for going from blue belt to black belt in just 363 days. She took first at the IBJJF World Championship NOGI in 2024 and 2025, as well as first at the CBJJ Brazilian Nationals in 2025.
