Falcons Face Ball State In MAC Tournament Quarterfinal

The Bowling Green Falcons women’s basketball team will take on Ball State women’s basketball in the quarterfinals of the Mid-American Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament on Wednesday at Rocket Arena, with both teams aiming to continue their postseason run.

One of the biggest storylines to watch will be Bowling Green’s recent momentum. The Falcons closed the regular season strong, winning several of their final games and showing improved offensive rhythm. If the momentum carries into the tournament, Bowling Green could challenge one of the conference’s top teams despite entering as the lower seed.

Another key factor will be Ball State’s high-powered offense. The Cardinals finished near to the top of the MAC standings and have been one of the league’s more efficient scoring teams all season. They rely on strong shooting and quick ball movement to create scoring opportunities, which could test Bowling Green’s defensive discipline throughout the game.

Rebounding and tempo may also play major roles. Bowling Green often looks to control the pace and generate points through balanced scoring, while Ball State is comfortable pushing the pace and creating fast-break opportunities. The team that dictates the style of play early could gain a significant advantage

With a spot in the tournament semifinals on the line, Wednesday’s matchup promises to be a competitive contest. Fans can expect an intense postseason atmosphere as both teams look to keep their championship hopes alive.
